The D180 handbook is a hardcopy version of the contents of this website. Some women prefer a physical book, especially as they complete their daily readings in the church or chapel.

About the Author and Creator of D180

Fr. Greg Gerhart is a priest of the Diocese of Austin, TX. He grew up in Allen, Texas, and heard his vocation to the priesthood at the age of 14 when attending the Pines Catholic Camp. Before entering seminary, he graduated from Texas A&M with a B.A. in English. In college he worked at the Pines, taught catechism at St. Thomas Aquinas, and played for the men’s ultimate frisbee team, eventually becoming the captain/coach his senior year. Fr. Greg attended seminary at St. Joseph Seminary College in Louisiana and the North American College in Rome, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2016. Since being ordained, Fr. Greg has finished a Licentiate in moral theology from the Angelicum, served as associate pastor of San Jose in Austin and St. Mary’s in College Station, and now serves as the Vocation Director.

Fr. Greg explains the origins of D180 as arising from his lived experience: “As I worked with young people, I began to see that they needed more structure in their lives, especially while they’re seeking to know their vocations.” He also wanted to offer  deep content, not “fluff”, and so he drew from the Church’s greatest saints and theologians for the daily readings. “So far D180 has borne incredible fruit in my own diocese,” he said. “I’m glad to offer it to anyone who needs guidance as they listen for God’s call.”

“With D180, Fr. Gerhart is guiding you down the path to your own heart, leading you in greater discipline, detachment, vulnerability and, ultimately, toward deeper intimacy with God so that you can hear Him calling you by name. You will be blessed if you take him up on this challenge.”
